Formerly La Carnita, Barbossa has relaunched with a BANG! Not much boosts the vibe more than excellent Mexican food and proper margaritas, making Barbossa a perfect option for pre-show dinner and drinks. Pull up a stool for a tipple at the bar and watch the bartenders do their thing for that front-row-seat feeling. Daily happy hour from 3-7PM will serve you well, plus look out for Margarita Monday, Taco Tuesday, Paloma Wednesday, Ladies Night and Saturday brunch stepping it up from 1–5PM (from AED249).

The latest darling of Yas Marina, we are still dreaming about the simple but exquisite food plated up by chef/patron Mario Loi. With interiors I want to call home, perfect terrace views across the Marina and some of the best Mediterranean food going in Abu Dhabi, keep an eye on the time: the hours melt away, and you might be late for the show! Try the filo-wrapped baked feta drizzled with honey and signature cocktail from the bar.

Always a perfect destination for parents with kids of every age, this is a great option if you are taking your teenage comedy fans to a show. As well as a menu packed with favourites every day of the week, check out their Saturday brunch: along with arcade credits, they even have a teenagers package! Rally the troops for a game of bowling afterward (brunch runs 1-4PM) and happy hour until 8PM, and then it’ll be time to head off for some laugh-out-loud action.

You might not have time to grab dinner before your comedy gig kicks off, but they open late enough to satisfy those post-show hunger pangs, and it's worth it - dinner at Rangoli is a production all on its own! Opt for wow-factor dishes like smoked lamb chops (served in a literal jar of smoke) or gold-dusted, charcoal black koyla samosa chaat for a feast for the eyes as well as the belly. For top quality, special occasion Indian fare, this one is hard to pass up.

A favourite we return to time and again, Stills consistently delivers on quality and taste - you can opt for something a little fancier, or keep it simple with some bar bites or a burger while making the most of happy hour from 3-9PM. Saturday’s Daydream Brunch is all about fun, featuring a BBQ hub, Mexican station, kids menu, lavish grand buffet, free-flowing drinks and live music. It runs from 12:30-4PM!
