The seasonal menu changes regularly and keeps things fresh: at Mika, the vibe and atmosphere are the constants, while the food offering is mixed up to be interesting and give patrons the perfect excuse for a return visit.
The fit out of the space really is exquisite - chic and cool, it’s the sort of place that you keep gravitating back to because it just feels so nice: instant holiday mode.
Conjure up the perfect menu to enjoy on a sunny afternoon by the water, and we bet it would be pretty darn close to the fare at Mika: don’t miss the Feta wrapped in crispy filo pastry, topped with sesame and thyme, doused in wild honey. Also on our hit list? Butterflied sea bass presented on a bed of bagna cauda (whipped anchovies and almond) and mussel escabeche, chicken Milanese with roasted tomato sauce - thin and tender with a crispy crumb, and save room for dessert!

Popular with those in the know, this chic Yas Marina location is a one stop shop for date night, an evening with the girls or those just wanting to enjoy excellent food in a beautiful setting. From the black and white tiled floors to the resident jazz performer bringing a beautiful buzz to your evening, Penelope’s oozes French charm and a cool vibe that feels both authentic and effortless.
The menu has some real winners - mushroom risotto is a stand out, light in texture but rich in flavour, and dessert is a must: crème brulee and chocolate fondant jockey for top spot. Jazz covers of your favourite songs accompany your visit if you time it right - hearing ‘Sunday Morning’ drift over from the pianist as you savour your dessert is a real treat. The best part? The little brother of Éla Éla - see below - you definitely get a little brother aura walking in: it’s darker and moodier than the neighbours, with some loud tunes and quirky lighting bringing an edge. Touted as a mid-century modern Japanese cocktail and snack bar, the team has a triple focus: great food, great drinks and great music. Their menu is fun; dishes such as spicy udon carbonara, Nashville karaage and supermoon yuzu cheesecake caught our eye, and they serve up sushi too.

New kid on the Yas Marina block, Éla Éla blends chic Mediterranean interiors with warm, welcoming hospitality. Their prime marina position doesn’t hurt either - the waterfront and yachts just a stone's throw away make for a nice backdrop any day of the week. With a menu inspired by Crete and the wider Mediterranean, the selection of mezze, starters, mains and classic Greek desserts won’t leave you hungry: think zucchini fritte, crispy calamari, hamachi crudo, whole grilled sea bream - and finish with the loukoumades!
